CAN ASC 2010

Mark your calendars!

We're still working out the details, but here is some information to help you organize your schedule for October.

This year's Annual Scientific Conference (ASC) will take place at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec, October 28-30 and you can expect to see another stellar line-up of speakers and sessions covering critical topics such as bioengineering; adult and pediatric pain in inflammatory diseases; patient-oriented outcomes; and, stem cells and regenerative medicine. There will also be an intensive workshop on osteoarthritis (OA) to review advancements in the field since the 2002 OA Consensus Conference, identify areas of unmet need and define new research priorities for the future.

Going forward, the Canadian Arthritis Network is adopting a new model for its ASC by partnering with its clinical cohorts. In 2010, we welcome the Canadian Association of Pediatric Rheumatology Investigators (CAPRI) and we expect great synergies from combining our annual conferences into one. You can look forward to future conferences that include the Canadian Network for Improved Outcomes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (CaNIOS) and the Canadian Scleroderma Research Group (CSRG).

If you would like to be among the first to register and find out when the final program and conference information goes live, please e-mail Katy Miller at kmiller2@mtsinai.on.ca. We look forward to seeing you in October!
